He is survived by: his children, Lisa Goins Whidby (John) of Milledgeville and Lee Goins (Byron) of Memphis, TN; his grandsons, John Roy Whidby of Milledgeville and Jim Hugh Whidby (Kim) of Milledgeville; his great grandchildren, Johnathan Whidby, Jeremiah Whidby and Alice Whidby; and his siblings, Sue Wright of Milledgeville, Ann Howell of Milledgeville and Bobby Goins (Katie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
