She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Tillman Tucker and Sally Mae Sizemore Tucker; her husband Calvin Leonard Powell; and her daughter Cathie Lanier Powell. She is survived by: her children, Melanie Smith and Calvin Leonard Powell Jr. (Cal); her grandchildren, Randy Hall, Chris Hall, Grace Tejeda (Niki), Louise Chapman and Kathryn Hopkins (Ali); and her great grandchildren, Joey Chapman, Penelope Tejeda, Roman Tejeda, Beau Tejeda, Benjamin Tejeda, Elizabeth Hall and Michaela Osbourn.
