It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Barfield Brown (Milledgeville, Georgia), born in Tennille, Georgia, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Barfield and Iduma Price Barfield; her husband James Henry "Dick" Brown; and her siblings, Alene Snow, Madelyn Hawk and Randy Barfield.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Brown (Elaine) of St. Simons, Ronald Brown (Karla) of Gordon, Ricky Brown (Pam) of Newport, TN, Calvin Brown of Milledgeville and Melba Lindsey (Alan) of Baldwinsville, NY; her siblings, Tommy Barfield of Milledgeville, Larry Barfield of Las Vegas, NV and Margaret Lindsey (Rubye Hitchcock) of Riddleville; and her close friend Grace Prosser of Milledgeville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
