It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Elizabeth Wharton of Milledgeville, Georgia, who passed away on July 13, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur John Joel and Ruth Robinson Joel; and her husband Albert Herbert "Bert" Wharton. She is survived by: her sons, Clive William Wharton of Milledgeville and David Arthur Wharton (Alicia) of England; her grandchildren, Paul Wharton, Rebecca Johnson, Devon Wharton and Justin Wharton; and her great grandchildren, Katie Wharton, James Johnson, Eve Johnson, Alyk Wharton and Kendra Wharton.
