It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Hawkins (Milledgeville, Georgia), born in Moultrie, Georgia, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ousley Hawkins and Mabry Strozier Hawkins. He is survived by: his brother Robert O. Hawkins, Jr.; his wife Patricia Califf Hawkins; his children, Celia Neely of Haddock, Gina Hall (Chris) of Musella, Carolyn Strickland of Gray, Mia Strickland of Macon and David Strickland (Melissa) of Warner Robins; and his brother Fred Hawkins (Katherine) of Albany. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
