He was predeceased by: his parents, Nomie E. Hendrix Cheeves and Henry Lee Cheeves; his wife Sally Nicholson Cheeves; his son Jason E. Cheeves; and his sister Patricia Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughter Lynn Coleman (Ned); his grandchildren, Tony Stapleton (Jessica) and Chris Cheeves; his great grandchild Cayden Stapleton; his siblings, Linda Brown (Stanley) and Donnie Cheeves; and his daughter-in-law Rachel Cheeves. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
