He is survived by: his son James Eric Adams, Jr.; his sister Becky Adams; his children, Erica Denning (Phillip), Hannah Adams and Hunter Adams; his siblings, Marie Yarbrough (Emmett), J. W. Adams (Cathy), Leon Adams and David Adams (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Madilynn Denning, Peyton Denning and Phillip Denning, IV. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
