He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Albert Pennington, Sr. and Alice Daphne Hall Pennington; his nephew John Pennington Ferguson; and his niece Mary Jeanette Ferguson. He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Rinker and Stephanie Cassamas (Len); his grandchildren, Ashton, Madison and Sage; his cousins, Ike Thomas (Mollie), Ennise McDade Burke (Hugh), Gary Pennington (Bonnie), Grady Pennington (Ann), Kent Thomas (Iris), Clifford Pennington (Shirley Jean), Marion Pennington (Linda), Ann Barnhill, Burk Herrin (Susan), Terry Estes (Mark) and Marion Baggerly (Sandy); his sister Janet Pennington Ferguson; and his nieces and nephews, Emily Ferguson May (Steve), Ellen Sullivan (Alex), Merritt Wall (Katie), Lily, Jesse Wall, Shannon, Nichole Waller and Geraldine Smith.
