He was predeceased by: his parents, James Eddie Meeks and Clara Batchelor Meeks. He is survived by: his sister Sylvia Meeks Davis; his wife Myra Roberson Meeks of Milledgeville; his nephew Corey Davis of Milledgeville; his great-niece Aurora Davis; and his aunt Alice Brett.
