It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Camilla Iris Braswell of Milledgeville, Georgia, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Dantzler Jackson and E. L. Jackson; her brother Teddy Jackson; her husband Walter Hugh Braswell; her son Walter Lanier Braswell; and her grandson Michael Cameron Braswell.
She is survived by: her brother Alan Jackson; her sister-in-law Ilona Jackson; her children, Susan Granich and Michael Hugh Braswell (Linda); and her grandchildren, Matthew Braswell (Catina), Joshua Braswell (Kelsey), Kirbi Lamb (Russell) and Kelli Mendieta (Grayson). She is also survived by Nieces, nephews, a host of loving friends, and very special "adopted children".
Services will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swainsboro on Sunday, March 5th at 2:30 p.m.
Upon her request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the fund set up for her deceased grandson's soon-to-be-born, Waylon Cameron Braswell, or Calvary United Methodist Church.
