Bo Oakes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2019, at the age of 82, Bo Oakes (Milledgeville, Georgia), born in Abbeville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Isom and Emma Jane Wood Oakes; and his daughter Sherrie Lynn Oakes. He is survived by: his wife Alice Elizabeth Kitchens Oakes of Milledgeville; his sister Louise Oakes Whelchel of Perry; his children, Carrie Elizabeth Oakes, William Randall "Randy" Oakes (Karen) of Milledgeville and Tara Oakes Pickett (Mark); his grandchildren, Jaime Elizabeth Lanthrip of Milledgeville, Amanda Pickett Smith (Ashley) of Milledgeville, William Matthew Pickett (Rachel) of Macon, Emma Kay Pickett (Adam), Brandy Lynn Pridgen of Milledgeville and William Randall Oakes Jr.; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by ten children.

In lieu of flowers it was Bo's wish that contributions be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in care of tribute processing.
