He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gloria I. Tanner of Gordon; his children, Mike Tanner (Yvonne) of Milledgeville, Pat Tanner (Elizabeth) of Crawford and Alisa Smith (Ricky) of Milledgeville; his stepchildren, Alvie Cofield of Atlanta, Gayle Banger (John) of Hover, AL and Lisa Cofield Enix (Jim) of Atlanta; his brother Gene Tanner (Ann) of Reidsville, NC; and his grandsons, Kirk Tanner and Dexter Tanner. He was also cherished by four great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren.
