We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, at the age of 81, Barbara Thigpen (Milledgeville, Georgia), born in Preston, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Bobby Eugene Strickland and Otis Thigpen; her parents, Annie Mae Bearden Weil and Grover Cleveland Bearden; and her siblings, Donna and Scott Bearden.
She is survived by: her children, Mitchell Strickland (Kaye), Jan Strickland Beall (Mitch) and Bill Strickland (Cathy); her grandchildren, Ashley Strickland Brady (Marc), Hannah Strickland Groseclose (Graham), Farrah Beall Dennis, Barney Mitchell Beall Jr. (Taylor), Baylee Beall Cobb (Trevor), Garner Strickland (Jordan), Jonathan Strickland and Catherine Strickland; her great grandchildren, Max, Ben, Eli Brady, Reese Groseclose, Collins Dennis, Levi, Liam Cobb and Kinsley Strickland; and her stepsons, Jimmy, Timmy and Johnny Thigpen.
