He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dewey Heaton and Ida Patterson Heaton; and his close friend Doris Boney. He is survived by: the mother of his children Mary J. Grimsley; his children, Marilyn Heaton and Bill Heaton (Sheila) of McRae, GA; his grandchildren, Haylee Heaton of McRae, Christy Miller (Brett) of Waycross and David Attaway (Kristen) of Dublin; his great grandchildren, Rylee Jane Miller, Amelia Jo Miller and Connor Attaway; his grandchildren, Ashley Bland (Brett) and Kyle Jones (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Toby of Milan and Presley of Milan; and also, Janet Henry and Cindy Jones (Joey).
