He is survived by: his children, Brenda Walker, Glenda Mckinney (Randy), Max Spires (Janet), Teresa Spires, Pam Barnard (Phillip), Daniel Spires (Melissa) and Joey Spires (Nikki); his grandchildren, Carla Alligood, Eddie Walker, Brandi Braswell, Joshua Lee Spires, Shannon Spires, Dakota Spires, Cindy Singletary, Austin Griffin, Jacob Bryant, Blake Bryant, Cullen Barnard, Shannon Miller, Chris Barnard, Joshua Lamar Spires, Brandon Spires, Hunter Spires, Alyssa Spires and Nickolas Spires; and his sisters, Linda Faye Harrell and Sue Jean Stonecypher. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by Ruby Yawn Spires; one great-grandchild, Bentley Lamar Spires; brothers, Ronnie Spires, Kenny Spires, and Wayne Spires; sisters, Vernell Johnson, and Bonnie Giles. ** COVID-19 guidelines will be followed at the memorial service.
