He is survived by: his wife Shirley White of Midway, Georgia; his mother Mattie Merritt-Stevenson; his sister Jacqueline Merritt; his niece Naveah Merritt; and his daughters, Wanda Evans (Phillip) of Hinesville, Georgia, Rosemary Kennedy (Jerry) of Hinesville, Georgia, Yadira Lawrence (John) of Hinesville, Georgia and Georgina Smith (Patrick) of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
