It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jack E. Waters of Midway, Georgia, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Duvon Waters and Edith Marie Durrence Waters; his siblings, Horace Waters, Joann Waters Bowser and Cynthia Waters; and his grandson Casey Daniel Nowakowski.

He is survived by: his children, Betina Waters, Tammi Waters Harden, Alec Waters and Noah Waters; his granddaughter Caila Harden; his wife Linda Waters; his grandchildren, Lori Harden and Hunter Waters; and his siblings, Terry Waters, Lisa Waters Oliver and Theresa Waters Perkins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Jack was truly a great man who became my fast friend upon meeting him years ago. We both had so many of the same interests including our faith, fishing, politics, and Jack’s beloved Georgia Bulldogs. Almost daily we would be in phone contact to discuss the latest Bulldog football news including the most recent recruiting news. Jack was so proud of his own Liberty County stars on the team. I’m so glad that Jack got to witness one more National Championship! I shall dearly miss my old friend.”
