It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Mae Washington of Midway, Georgia, who passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orlean Golden and William Varnedoe Jr.; and her siblings, Isaac Henry Golden Jr., Mary Alice Varnedoe, William Varnedoe III and Lucy McNeil.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lakeeta Adams (Shannon) of Schertz, TX and Niayma Dunn (Keonna) of Converse, TX; her grandchildren, Jayvenn Adams and Ally Adams; her siblings, Margie Stevens (Karlwin) of Brooklyn, NY, Frednell Walthour (Calvin) of Midway, GA and Harold Varnedoe of Midway, GA; and her stepmother Lizzie Mae Varnedoe of Midway.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dorchester Funeral Home (7842 E Oglethorpe Hwy, Midway, GA 31320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the St. Peter's African Methodist Episcopal Church (5394 E Oglethorpe Hwy, Midway, GA 31320).
