He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Hawkins Stephens; his parents, Thomas Stephens and Louise Stephens Sr.; his sisters, Doris Pendergrass and Lois Parker; and his daughter Amy Ruth Stephens.

He is survived by: his children, Glen Stephens (Sheila) of Lincoln, AL, Rusty Stephens of Millen and Stacie Burch (Josh) of Midville; his grandchildren, Shelly Smith (Thomas), Dustin Stephens, Preston Stephens, Logan Stephens, Judson Burch, Natalie Burch and Kyle; and his great grandchild Landon Smith.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crowe Fields Funeral Home, Inc. (364 E Winthrope Ave, Millen, GA 30442). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Long Branch Church of God (5062 US-25, Garfield, GA 30425).
