He is survived by: his daughters, Jan Snooks (Elmer Thompson) of Swainsboro, GA and Debbie O "Deb" Gay of Live Oak; and his grandchildren, Missy Mills (Rodney), Timothy Woods, Olivia Reynolds (Brent), John R. "J. R." Gay Jr., Jonathan Gay and Kimberly Southers (B. J.). He is also survived by 15 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
