We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2024, at the age of 57, Wendy Cornelius Northington of Midland, Georgia, born in Columbus, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Wendy Cornelius may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

She was predeceased by: her father Ronald David Cornelius, Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Sara McDowell Grimshaw (Jim); her husband Chuck Northington; her daughters, Paige Northington and Janie Northington; her siblings, Lisa Key (Ricky) and David Cornelius (LeLe); and her parents-in-law, Connie Simmons and Jerry Northington. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Evangel Church (5350 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
