He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Agnes Ebert (Wooldridge) and Virgil Herman Ebert. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann "Judi" Cope Ebert of Cataula, Georgia; his son Jon Marc Ebert (Melissa); and his grandsons, William Brantley Ebert and James Marc Ebert of Fortson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Solid Rock Church. A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
