He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Francis Cannella and Angelina Mutarelli; and his siblings, Joan Cannady and Joseph "Pepe" Cannella. He is survived by: his wife Mija Cannella of Midland, GA; his children, Charlene Gray (Robert) of Fallston, MD, Denise Wardlaw of Powhatan, VA, David Cannella (Valerie) of Madison, AL and Katharine "Kat" Cannella (Robert) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, David Cannella, Jr. (Alicia) of Gulf Shores, AL, Jessica Taylor (Joshua) of Pelham, AL, William Hosley (Rachel) of Clinton, MD, Robert, Anness V of Columbus, GA and James Francis "Frankie" Anness of Columbus, GA; his great grandchildren, Ella Grace Williams of Pelham, AL, Rush Williams of Pelham, AL, Seth Williams of Pelham, AL and Reese Hosley of Clinton, MD; and his brother James Cannella of Norfolk, VA..
A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (2000 Kay Cir, Columbus, GA 31907).
