As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Homer Sidney may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Leanton Floyd and Eunice Land Floyd; and his son Joshua "Josh" Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Annie Renfroe Floyd of Midland, GA; his children, Cindy Pankey (Charles), Stan Sanders (Trina) of Hurtsboro, AL and William "Bo" Sanders of Midland, GA; and his siblings, Linda Wilson of Phenix City, AL, Bobbie Golden of Cusseta, GA and Phillip Floyd of Phenix City, AL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Columbus (4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
