He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Zylstra and Nellie Zylstra; his siblings, Ronald and Betty; and his former wife Kathy Goodman.

He is survived by: his children, Scott Zylstra, Jennifer Jenkins and Debbie Monroe (Jimmy); his wife Gayle Zylstra; his grandchildren, Kyle and Faith; and his siblings, Harold Zylstra (Becky) and Dee McCauley (Don). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
