She was predeceased by: her parents, James Milton and Mary Helen Modlin Kennedy; and her husband Roy Clinton Dowd. She is survived by: her son Corey Carpenter (Jenine); and her stepson Gary Dowd (Jamie). She is also survived by five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials can be made to The Metter United Methodist Church Building Fund.
