It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome C. Carter of Metter, Georgia, who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Frekie Lois Gurley Carete; and his wife Shirley Hodges Carter. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Glalinda Parrish of Jonesboro, GA; his grandson Darien Carter of Jonesboro, GA; and his siblings-in-law, Yvonnie Williams, Dorothy Kemp (Eugene), Lottie Smith, Catheleen Brown, Willie Hodges of Register, GA, Harold Hodges of Register, GA, Darnell Hodges of Register, GA and Nathaniel Hodges of New Orleans, LA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
