He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Everette and Leola Wade Smith; his wife Charlotte Bennett Smith; his granddaughter Beth Ann Raulerson; his brother Cecil Smith; and his brother-in-law Darrell Tomlinson.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Paul (David) of Mershon and Kenny Smith (Melanie) of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren, Jeb Raulerson of Blackshear, Peyton Smith (Brooke) of Zebulon, NC, Kennedy Smith of Greensboro, NC and Logan Paul of Marietta; his great grandchildren, Rhett Raulerson and Holden Smith; and his sisters, Emily Chancey (Roger) of Nahunta, Marilyn Tomlinson of Alma and Wanda Wheeler (Johnny) of Alma. He is also survived by grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
