She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hayes and Bonnie Fales Mercer; and her siblings, Corine Thomas, Jerry Hayes and Edwin "Buddy" Hayes.

She is survived by: her husband Glenn Strickland of Mershon; her children, Melinda (Chet Edwards), Roxanne (John Tanner), Towanna (Jerry Durrance) and James; her daughter-in-law Tiffany Hayes of Baxley; and her siblings, Lorene Clemons of Callahan, FL, Larry Hayes of Blackshear and Johnny Hayes (Gwen) of Hazlehurst. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing guidelines and the wearing of facemasks are mandatory.
