We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2023, at the age of 81, Jimmy Edsel Hiers Sr. of Mershon, Georgia, born in Waycross, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Clyde and Ella Mae Davis Hiers; his wife Vivian Lee Andrew Hiers; his great grandchild Hunter Starling; and his brothers, Arlon Hiers, Kenneth Hiers, Billy Hiers and Alton (Worton).
He is survived by: his sons, Jimbo (Cheryl Hiers) and Robbie (Angie Hiers); his brothers, Wallace Hiers of Bristol and Roger Worton (Cathy) of Starke, FL; his sisters-in-law, Willene Hiers of Blackshear and Sandra Hiers of Waycross; his grandchildren, Heather Starling (Albert), Summer Hiers, Brandon Maxwell (Kelcey), Lacey Hiers, Greg Leggett (Linzy), Robbie Hiers, Emily Carter (Shane) and Erin Cason (Jordan); and his close friend Linda Bennett of Mershon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
