It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Burnette of Mershon, Georgia, born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on April 23, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar T. Burnette and Mamie Rewis Burnette; and his siblings, Wade Burnette, Roy Burnette, Gary Burnette, Martha Jean Gay and Mildred Gay.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Peacock Burnette of Mershon; his children, Bruce Burnette and Rhonda Spires (Aaron) of Alma; his siblings, Larry Burnette of Atlanta and Patsy Thompson of Alma; his grandchildren, Angel Taylor, Greg Burnette, Dalton Spires and Erica Crosby; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Brenli, Brenton, Zayleigh, Gace, Gate and Brexton.
