She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Leggett and Molly Carter Leggett; her husband Ron Boatright; and her siblings, Toby Leggett, Curtis Leggett, Hovis Leggett, Dolly Garvin, Pearl Boatright and Mearl Graham.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Mack Boatright (Henrietta) of Brunswick, Terrell "Porky" Boatright of Mershon and Jeanne "Cookie" Boatright (Roy T., Jr.) of Alma; her grandchild Donnie C. White, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Mershon; her great grandchildren, Robert Earl, Reed and Candace Nail (Shane) of Alma; and also, Brooke, Summer, Landon, Kaleb, Kimberly Wiggins (Jason Pickren) of Brunswick, Kera, Jimmy "Bo" Boatright (Brooke) of Brunswick, Erin, William, Mandy Boatright (Clay), Jolee, Maddox, Max Durrance of Lake Park, Lacy Boatright of Alma and Jarett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Essie will lie in state at New Lacy Church of God from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with mask and social distancing.
