He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Gass and Charlsie Chapman Gass; his siblings, Hugh Gass, Gene Gass, Betty Foster and Elouise Melling; and his granddaughter Scarlett Gass.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Gass; his children, Mike Gass, Kay Pope (Scott) and Julie Hunter (Chris Smith); and his grandchildren, Alisha Brock, Tessa Brock, Lee Gass, Kayla Price, Taylor Hunter, Dalton Hunter, Luke Gass and Courtney Trammel. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
