With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maxine Majors of Menlo, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Maxine leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Maxine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladston "Datch" Dempsey and Annie Ruth Lawson Dempsey; her siblings, Gerald Dempsey and O'Bera Keen; and her son-in-law David Langston, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Emmaus "Lee" Majors; her son Terry; her daughter-in-law Patti Majors; her daughters, Elaine (Malcom Birge) and Connie (Brent Bentley); and her sister-in-law Jo Ann Dempsey. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at the Alpine Cemetery (872 GA-337, Menlo, GA 30731).
