He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Lewis and Winnie Coleman Thompson; and his siblings, Dorothy Williams, Tommy "Jack" Thompson and Bob Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Susan McGukin (Don) of Tupelo, MS, Coleman Thompson of Menlo and Ellen Thompson of Rome; his granddaughter Aurora Thompson (Kalle-Erik Vahakyla); and his great grandchild Rowen of Caldogno, Italy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
