With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dewey Brown of Menlo, Georgia, born in Summerville, Georgia, who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin Dewey Brown and Connie Jewell Phillips Brown; his siblings, Robin Brown and Erick "Tom" Brown; his son-in-law Jeff Johnson; and his brother-in-law Tom Ochs.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Lloyd Brown; his children, Timothy Brown (Ginger), Tina Chapman (Robert "Bo") and Michelle Johnson (Johnny Williamson); his siblings, Doyle Brown (Joyce), Gary Brown (Shirley), Waldin Eugene Brown and Anise Ochs; his friend Johnny Nelson; and also, Patty Compton and Justin Rose. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
