He is survived by: his wife Susan Castleberry; his children, Mandy Castleberry Hulsey, Rebecca Edwards, Robert "Bo" Jones and Stephanie Neal; his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Malaiah, Jacee and Eric; and his siblings, Ronald Castleberry and Brenda Evans. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Hello, my name is Eric Johnson. I'm just now finding out about the passing of Mr. Lamar. I was employed at Port City in 2008, and I met him when he started working. He was special to us because he was so dedicated and ALWAYS talked about GOD. He had a real testimony and I loved talking to him because we would talk about wrestling lol. You have my condolences and I am truly going to miss him. Just know that he was an Angel, and Angels belong in heaven. Rest easy my friend, and GOD bless his famil”
