It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John I. Lanier of Meldrim, Georgia, who passed away on January 15, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles V. Lanier, Sr. and Francis W. Whitley Lanier; his wife Emma Lee Clark Lanier; his great grandchild Cody Futch; and his siblings, Charles V. Lanier, Jr. and Marie Durden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sonja Lair, Katherine Moore, Lora Lanier and Nora Lanier; and his close friend Sherry Smith. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
