He was predeceased by: his parents, John Morgan and Tessie Osborne Powell; and his sons, Glen Elton Powell and Eric Powell. He is survived by: his wife Sarah W. Powell; his children, Nadine Sellers (Phil), Cynthia Edwards (Danny), Ennis Powell (Michele) and Esther Joslin (Ron); his grandchildren, Shawn, Jessica, Samantha, James, Jr., Julia, Cade, Jake, Reid and Shae; his great grandchildren, Tristan, Austin, Bri, Katelyn, Gracie and Ambralyn; and his brother Cecil Powell (Ann). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
