He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ernest Hurst Sr. and Josephine Russ Hurst. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Hurst; his sons, Michael Hurst of Meigs, Gary Hurst of Meigs and Brian Steve Hurst of Meigs; his grandchildren, Michael Hurst Jr. (Catherine), Kimberly Hurst (Sean Lipanovich), Brian Hurst Jr. and Nicholas Austin Hurst; and his sister Lois Brown of Ochlocknee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home (110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
