With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine McLendon of Meigs, Georgia, born in Moultrie, Georgia, who passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, W. M. "Mac" McLendon and Lillian Dallis Singletary McLendon; and her sisters, Betty Taylor, Levene Maddern, Laverne McClure and Eva Nell Lennard.
She is survived by: her children, Luana Benton Moore, Bruce of Ashburn, GA, Richard Anson Benton, June of Sautec Nacoochee, GA, Christopher Brent Benton, Kenya of Atlanta, GA, Andrew Evan Davis, Dawn of Meigs, GA, Toni Arlene Davis, Victor of Ochlocknee, GA, Hayden Van Coffey of Cordele, GA, John Patrick Coffey, Deidre of Sycamore, GA, Delores Ragsdale and Nick of Raleigh, NC; her sister Rosalyn Tyson of Moultrie, GA; and her close friend Michael Simpson. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
