It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Lafayette Burgess (Meigs, Georgia), who passed away on September 5, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Melvin Burgess and Beatrice Vinson Burgess; and his brother James Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gayle Morris Burgess of Meigs; his children, Ricky Burgess (Jane) of Moultrie, Donzell Burgess (Ramona) of Meigs and Sheila Burgess Peach (Wesley) of Meigs; his sisters, Myrtle Burgess Fincher of Leesburg and Linda Kennedy (Larry) of Meigs; his grandchildren, Jim Wheeler (Wendy) of Cairo, Jon Wheeler (Carrie) of Marquette, Stephanie Anderson (Alex) of Rogersville, Steven Burgess of Pavo, Wes Brown, Kately of Coolidge, Sara Burgess of Meigs, Brandon Peach (Liz) of Meigs, Kaitie Maughon (Chris) of Weisden, Germany, Jake Peach and Harley of Adel; and his great grandchildren, Katy-Ann, Anna, Jon Thomas, Colin, Rachel, Gabe, Annabelle, Zackery, Brayden, Maddie, Riley, Aiden and Chloe.
