He was predeceased by: his mother Inez Tucker Smith; and his brother Billy Joe Smith. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Carli, Hope, Hayleigh Thompson, Taylor, Maci and Addisyn James; his father Dorton Smith of Griffin; his stepmother Carol Smith of Griffin; and his siblings, Jason Smith of Griffin, Carrie Smith of Griffin, Maria Smith of Griffin, Shawn Smith of Griffin and Kenny Fisher of Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
