He is survived by: his wife Barbara Norman; his children, Darlene Sams (Franklin), Lisa Teal (Mark) and Johnny Norman (Luanne) of Crab Orchard, KY; and his sister Brenda Walden (Bobby) of Thomaston. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren.
