He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dudley Scott and Lurline Mitchell Scott; his brother Gene Scott; and his siblings-in-law, Dell Scott and John Mask.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Ellen Parrott Scott; his children, Sam Alexander, Kathleen Giles (Dean), David Scott (Annabel) and Wendy Gladden (Scott); his grandchildren, Lynn Holt (Marvin), Keith Scott, Amanda Britt (Shane), Nikki Alexander, Ivy Thompson, Hannah Dockery (Dwight), Haley Dowdy (Nathan), Drew Scott, Ken Scott, Elisha Scott, Jacob Gaddy, Toni Efimov (Gleb) and Franklin Gladden, Jr.; and his siblings, Joe Scott (Sandra) and Jane Mask. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
