It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Rachels of Meansville, Georgia, born in North Augusta, South Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Eli Thomas; and her siblings, Hilda Avant and Edison Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Virlon Rachels; her children, Regena Williams (Kerry), Susan Henderson, Virlon "Rusty" Rachels (Cathy) and Memoma; her grandchildren, Joshua (Sarah), Ryan (Stephanie), Rachel, Paul, Jon, Jessica (Derek), Tyler (Michelle) and Jenna (Jarrett); her great grandchildren, Ryann, Anna, Jacob, Kane (Ramey), Kevin, Hailey, Jazmine, Leighanna Grace, Brighton, Haddon, Zeke, Zade and August; her siblings, Nora Moon, Estelle Dugger and Walter "Tony" Thomas (Faye); and her great grandchild Jarrett Fletcher. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
