He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Ruffin and Catherine Hazel Watts Ruffin; his wife Theresa Bailey Ruffin; his son David Todd Ruffin; and his sister Sylvia Ruffin Crawford.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Catherine Ruffin; his siblings, Larry Steve Ruffin (Marsha) and Jolita Rix; his granddaughters, Theresa "Tera" Harris (Will) and Erica Helms; and his great grandchild Jazmine Harris of Thomaston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
