He is survived by: his children, William Ritter Nelson, Jr. (Janda) of Statesboro, Margaret Nelson MacGregor (Robert) of Marietta and Ann Nelson Curtis of Vidalia; his grandchildren, Catherine MacGregor, Mary MacGregor, Leslie Medford (John), Ben Curtis (Mary Margaret), Carrie Curtis, Will Nelson and Brannen Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Mary Powell, Rhett Curtis, Liza and Evie Medford. He is also survived by Many nieces and nephews.
