With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thelma Norris Henderson in McRae, Georgia, born in Douglas, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Marcus D. Norris, Jr. and Charles Edward "Tom" Henderson; her parents, Jim C. Thomas and Lessie Clements Thomas; and her son Kenneth Ray Norris.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Norris (Rita) of Milan and Wanda Faye McLendon of McRae; her daughter-in-law Ann Norris of Milan; her stepson Jack Henderson (Audrey) of Chief, FL.; her grandchildren, John Norris (Joey), Josh Norris (Brandi), Danley McLendon (Krystal) and Misty Roberson (Bay); her great grandchildren, Jamie, Jesse, Jaley, Jayda, Gavin, Alyssa, Danielle, Brandon (Heather), Hannah (Josh), Noah (Stella), Brad, Nick, Sarah (Matthew), Ethan and Miriam Roberson; and her great great grandchildren, Jaxson, Raelynn, Lucas and Adalyn Leyland.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vaughn Funeral Home (107 E Oak St, McRae-Helena, GA 31055). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Towns Church of God Building Fund, c/o Rev. Dennis Johnson, 964 Old Scotland-Towns Rd., McRae, GA 31055.
