We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2018, at the age of 95, Velma Hughes Coulter Byrd (McIntyre, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husbands, John Coulter and Byrd; her daughter Sharon Carney; her grandson Chad Coulter; and her siblings, Vivian Sanders, Shields Hughes, Herman Hughes, Fay Hughes and Julian Hughes.

She is survived by: her son Larry Coulter (Brenda); her sister Vera; and also Palmer. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
